Rio Grande City CISD has deployed Tango as their total turn-key solution for assessments in the classroom. The Rattlers are using handhelds to assess students from Kindergarten (including the TPRI and Tejas Lee indicators) to 12th grade. The Rio Grande City curriculum department uses the Tango Item Bank to align all teachers weekly assessments to the TEKS/TAKS timeline. All of the district's benchmarking is done with Tango and results are back to the Superintendent as soon as the handhelds are synchronized. Data Driven Decisions in ACTION!

Edinburg CISD expands their current Tango installation with some of the funds from their TARGET grant. Edinburg is now using Tango for all daily and benchmark assessments at those schools.

Donna ISD in Region I chose Tango to help them facilitate the collection of data for the TPRI and Tejas Lee reading assessments. Teachers are using Palm's Tungsten E handheld to quickly assess students' performance and see results quickly. Principals are immediately seeing the mastery levels of all students assessed.

The Tango Item Bank gives schools the ability to put any of their own legally licensed content on the handheld. The Item Bank makes it easy for curriculum departments to standardize and align content for all campuses and teachers. The Item Bank can be used to create assessments which can be easily pushed to the teacher and student. Surveys can also be created for administering timed oral benchmarking.
